Shoe Size Measurement Units Because the difference you would want between two sizes of shoes is smaller than an inch or a centimeter, the most common shoe measurements are based on smaller units:
  • Paris Point = 2/3 cm
  • Barleycorn = 1/3 in
  • Millimeter (mm)
  • Centimeter (cm) = 10mm
